14. The item that was hardest to hunt down/buy

My leopard print infinity scarf from Old navy for $12. (It was hard to find “the one“)

http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=38340&vid=1&pid=576179&scid=576179002 (Now $14 +tax)

That might sound stupid, but for some reason I was EXTREMELY picky about how I wanted my printed infinity scarf to look (you wouldn’t believe how much I looked online AND in-store, trying them on, debating on prices, ect).

Actually, I was just looking for a regular leopard print scarf because I had been eyeing it (current fashion trend, comfortable, everyone was rocking it while they have it); the infinity part was a plus because I fell in love with it in a heartbeat. (That’s why I was okay buying a scarf for more than $10 for the first time ever)

One day, both me and my co-worker had both worn this scarf to work, I was wearing light colours and she was wearing dark colours. It just was really interesting to see how versatile this scarf was and how it works with every colour palette so effortlessly.

HELLOOOOOOOOO helloberry!

Ever heard of them? http://helloberryinc.com/index.php

You must be crazy or always looking down at your phone if you haven’t noticed these delicious arm candies walking around everywhere!

After seeing my favourite YouTuber’s, ThatsHeart and Beautycakez wear these, I instantly fell in love! I waited months and months, constantly debating about purchasing any bracelets, but now I finally did it! Seeing an email saying your package has been shipped made me the giddiest girl in the WORLD!

Receiving a package in the mail JUST for you is THE COOLEST THING IN THE WORLD! Much better than a text msg! I love things that are personalized and have great care for the little details taken into it, and shoutout to this team for doing it right! From the stamp to the card, it’s all just super adorable! (and I’m NOT a girly girl!)

It makes you feel so special!

Helloberry bracelet: London Fog Smoothie

Helloberry bracelet: Mocha Mini Smoothie

I chose neutral coloured bracelets so that I could have more to match with, but I really recommend buying a bold colour because the contrast with the gold chain will make it stand out beautifully! (They’ve also started silver as well, woohoo!)

The thicker bracelet (The London Fog Smoothie) is, in my opinion, much more of a statement compared to the mini smoothie, which is more for that nice dainty arm candy to have.

I’m a very skinny person, so the next time I’m buying, I’m going to have to see if I can get a customize bracelet so that it has a more snug fit for me.

I must sound like some crazy advertiser, but I’m not. (But I have been waiting to get these so that I could write a blog post about them!) When I buy things like jewelry, I enjoy every aspect of it. Finding a brand WORTH buying from is what counts too. I do my research and wait for a long period of time before finalizing something like this because I know in the end it’ll be worth it. This team not only advertises themselves well, but they always reply to their customers and welcome them into the family, which I think is just amazing! #ihearthelloberry

Shay Mitchell, commonly known as “Emily Fields” on the hit show Pretty Little Liars is helping to kickoff and showoff her skinnies for American Eagle OutfittersLive Your Life” campaign for Fall 2012!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KcZDolqBLw&feature=plcp

I personally adore Shay and her fashion. She has such a great personality and it really adds to her style~

American Eagle, not somewhere I shop at (price and style-wise) really went all out for their campaign! It draws in the eye with their quirky styles and their originality. I’m a sucker for great advertising and they get a 10/10 from me! Even if you don’t shop there, I highly recommend checking out their site at least!

This season, AEO is all about expressing your individual style and finding your own look,

which is why they’ve chosen an awesome and eclectic group to represent the new collection, complete with athletes, musicians, and even students.

Have a look at the other guys and girls denim styles! Trust me, the site makes it quite interesting and interactive, it’s worth seeing~

Under the section “Top off your fit”, every jean style has someone modelling it in several stylish AEO tops.

What do you think?

Vietnam truly is beautiful. I envy how stunning the women look! When I was at Carabram at the Vietnam pavilion, they gave us each a copy of their magazine, The Viet Sun (Volume VI- July 2012). I fell in love with their beauty, style, fashion & lifestyle~

Its official! It’s my favourite thing to come out this summer! I am LOVING this trend!

Sheer tops are a girls best friend. Why do I say this? Because sheer (as well as chiffon) is the easiest thing to throw over on top of literally anything you’re wearing. Its so light, you almost don’t even realize you are wearing it.

It’s great when it’s a hot day and you feel like only wearing a tank top, but you still want to be covered up. Bam! Sheer to the rescue, while still looking super chic to boot.

CLOTHING TIP #1: Please ladies, let’s remember that sheer means that it IS see-through! be sure to cover up under (we don’t need to see that hot pink lace bra from Victoria Secret!) ! I recommend nude color tank tops because they work the best!

CLOTHING TIP #2: These type of tops are also GREAT transitional pieces for your fall/winter wardrobe for layering! Now THAT”S making an investment worth your while!

I have yet to really know the difference between chiffon and sheer completely, so if im wrong, please DO correct me! (Aren’t they pretty much the same besides the actual styling itself?)

How do you feel about the sheer clothing trend? =)

*First off, I’m NOT some crazy One Direction fangirl. Please note that. What I do like, yes, one or two of their songs. But what I admire is their stylists and their style.

Lately, I’ve been quite intrigued with men’s fashion a bit more. I love a guy who can dress well, but 5 at once? Hell, that’s a powerhouse. From rocking varsity jackets, stripes, suspenders and layers, what more can you ask for?

Men can create very chic outfits with very few basic rules. Layering with a colour palette and contrasting colours gives more personality and care to an outfit. What I love seeing is a guy wearing very basic pieces, but pulling it off so well because they are comfy and have confidence with what they’re wearing. Is it just me, or does anyone else feel this way? I’m proud to say the guy friends in my life have great style. Thumbs up to them!

There’s always a sense of harmony with what they’re all wearing when they do photoshoots, but they still maintain something unique about each of them.

Now, I know that sounds stupid because if its a photoshoot, then OF COURSE they have to match and whatnot. But I don’t know, there seems to be something about the way their stylists do it. It feels like it just pulls together effortlessly and they still each look unique, not the same. (and I’ve researched and looked up a LOT of photoshoots. In a group, it’s very easy to make everyone blend in TOO well.)

I love seeing a colour palette among the clothes that is clearly visible. It creates this overall effortless look.

Sandy colours, stripes and beach settings work the best for them, at least in my opinion. It looks the most natural and matches their style the best.

(I could do without the lime green pants … I don’t see that as the greatest combination compared to the rest.) Love seeing guys in blazers though, very crisp.

Rather than fangirl about the boys (hell, I still can’t match their names to their faces), lemme know what you think about their fashion as well as men’s fashion =)

Is it me or are collars now a whole new thing? They have truly been reinvented!

From this, the classic collar on a normal shirt to this:

Who would have ever thought you could buy JUST the COLLAR as it’s own fashion piece?! When I saw this in stores, I was awestruck and laughing at the same time!

This is from Forever21, click here for the link~

Best part about it? If you don’t want to go out and buy one, it becomes the SIMPLEST DIY; just cut off a collar from your shirt!

I have a growing love for collars because they are not only great layering pieces, but they add a really nice flare to clothes to instantly make it more preppy/sophisticated/crisp/cute based on the rest of your outfit.

What I’ve started doing is looking at the lines of a shirt to find more interesting and unique collars. Any collar that’s different than the simple collar will present a different look for your neckline, and hey, that’s worth a shot to try is it not?

A really nice feature to a collar without the shirt is that it can act as an extra layer without having to wear the full shirt!

Styling a maxi skirt is a bit difficult and slightly challenging, but also a lot of fun! This was actually my outfit from a few days ago, but it’s amazingly comfy! Maxi’s are the next best substitute to jeans; just a dash of femininity~

  • Maxi skirt- Cleo ($15.00)
  • White tee- Old Navy ($4.99)
  • Sleeveless denim jacket- Sirens ($12.00)
  • Grey belt- Urban Planet ($1.50)

Just thought I’d share some goals for this weekend’s posts because I’m so booked I won’t have much time to actually take some photos’ and sit here reading all your posts for hours. Yes, I wrote and planned out my posts two days early before I actually AM posting them JUST to make sure I meet the whole “minimum-one-post-a-day” routine! ^^”

Summer has been around for about a month for the university students who finished early (like myself), and it’s quite weird to have almost 4 whole months off! That’s a lot of time to occupy! I figured doing photoshoots, blogging (no, not Vlogging), and documentation would keep me in check when I’m not working.

Thankfully, I have friends, like artsy-hipsters, whom like myself come across concepts to attempt. I’m hoping to cover as many areas of shoot’s & types of photography that I can! So far here’s the list:

  • Long (double) exposure
  • Fashion
  • Editorials?
  • Magazine layouts (promotion)
  • Make up
  • Scenery
  • Forestry
  • Macro
  • Beach
  • Shadows (Black & White)
  • Vintage
  • Group shoot
  • Lookbook
  • Dancing (bboy, ballet, ect)

It’s a cruddy list, I know. But, I am trying. I’ve done a few, so I don’t see what’s stopping me from trying them all! If there’s anything you know of, or want to recommend, feel MORE than free to leave a comment below! (Any tips or feedback is also appreciated & welcomed with open arms)

Here’s some collages of what I have done so far that I”m beyond happy with! (iPhone behind the scenes!)
