  • Black shorts- Urban Planet ($8.00)
  • Striped top- Blue Notes ($10.00)

It’s called “quickie” because I was getting ready super quick before having some friends over, throwing these two pieces together, not bothering with jewelry, except for gold and black earrings. Afterwards, looking at the outfit, it went with my messy right-out-of-the-shower curly hair pretty darn well.

Tip: Tucking in a top into your bottoms can always make any outfit look a bit more put together~

3rd. Something you’re wearing for the first time

I’m putting it as two different things; my new white sequined top from Old Navy + striped bag from Old Navy

I don’t really wear sparkly or glittery looking articles, but this just caught my eye. Only the front is sequined and the back is sequin-free which I find really nice. This is what I consider a tank top with a punch, because it just made my outfit look a bit more chic and put together~

Below is my now new favourite nautical inspired bag, also from Old Navy! This bag not only made me buy it because of it’s gorgeous look and stripes but because of it’s strength and size! I’m the girl who needs a BIG bag that can actually hold weight! This baby does the job~

OOTD details:

  • Sequined tank top- Old Navy ($15.00)
  • Long green cardigan- Gift
  • Dark wash jeans- Stitches ($20.00)
  • Bag- Old Navy ($20.00)

This might become one of my “on-the-run-to-work” outfits~

*First off, I’m NOT some crazy One Direction fangirl. Please note that. What I do like, yes, one or two of their songs. But what I admire is their stylists and their style.

Lately, I’ve been quite intrigued with men’s fashion a bit more. I love a guy who can dress well, but 5 at once? Hell, that’s a powerhouse. From rocking varsity jackets, stripes, suspenders and layers, what more can you ask for?

Men can create very chic outfits with very few basic rules. Layering with a colour palette and contrasting colours gives more personality and care to an outfit. What I love seeing is a guy wearing very basic pieces, but pulling it off so well because they are comfy and have confidence with what they’re wearing. Is it just me, or does anyone else feel this way? I’m proud to say the guy friends in my life have great style. Thumbs up to them!

There’s always a sense of harmony with what they’re all wearing when they do photoshoots, but they still maintain something unique about each of them.

Now, I know that sounds stupid because if its a photoshoot, then OF COURSE they have to match and whatnot. But I don’t know, there seems to be something about the way their stylists do it. It feels like it just pulls together effortlessly and they still each look unique, not the same. (and I’ve researched and looked up a LOT of photoshoots. In a group, it’s very easy to make everyone blend in TOO well.)

I love seeing a colour palette among the clothes that is clearly visible. It creates this overall effortless look.

Sandy colours, stripes and beach settings work the best for them, at least in my opinion. It looks the most natural and matches their style the best.

(I could do without the lime green pants … I don’t see that as the greatest combination compared to the rest.) Love seeing guys in blazers though, very crisp.

Rather than fangirl about the boys (hell, I still can’t match their names to their faces), lemme know what you think about their fashion as well as men’s fashion =)

It’s called Old Navy Solider because I just realized that everything but my belt is from Old Navy! How ironic is that? =)

  • Shirt- Old Navy ($5.00) <–Clearance!
  • Shorts- Old navy ($5.00) <–Clearance!
  • Cardigan- Old Navy ($15.00)
  • Belt- Urban Planet ($2.50)
  • Flower studs- Forever21 ($3.80) <–Set of 3 studs

Please mind my very weird expression! I’m actually not sure if this outfit is really all that great, if it’s a hit & miss I can totally accept that. I was really happy to wear some silver-gold accessories cause I only wear silver sadly. Finally achieved loose beach wave curls!

I bought this cardigan, and I’m not used to bright bold colours, but I am DETERMINED to match outfits up with it! It’s amazing how much an outfit can change with one bold colour added! This outfit went from beachy to bold in 2 seconds!

Never be afraid to try something new, something a bit outside of your comfort zone!

So apparently turning 19 today is a milestone for me. Go figure. They say these things when you’re born, when you turn 16, graduate highschool and whatnot. But I like to treat it like any other day. Not badly, but I just maybe go out and hang with some friends. Anyways– on to le outfit!

White is a really popular colour this spring/summer! Strips are also quite a growing trend as well! Combining the two was a lot of fun!

I actually tried out this outfit yesterday & I fell in LOVE. It has a nautical let-take-a-walk-along-the-boardwalk feel! I actually felt really photogenic, so I took a million shots & deleted a darn lot after!

  • Striped dress- Old Navy ($18)
  • White denim jacket- Old Navy ($25?)
  • Floppy hat- Gift from my mom

Have a wonderful Wednesday~
