If there’s one thing I love about Pretty Little Liars, it’s their amazing fashion!

This has to be the most relevant quote since I started watching the series!

I love that each of the girls have their own unique style that really reflects their character quite well. If you didn’t know anything about the show or their characters, you could actually get an idea just from their appearances.

Mandi Line truly is an amazing costume designer! Here’s a video that talks about how she creates each of the girls look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9lgy6GhI0Q Spencer surprised me the most, it was adorable~

Aria is a very vintage like girl! She’s what I would call the thrifter! Her outfits are not things you can just find in a store mannequin, you have to personalize it and truly make it your own!

Hanna truly signifies what an “it” girl is; the one with all the up-to-date fashion that is currently trending! I absolutely love her outfits, and it’s how I would dream of dressing, but I feel like it’s a hard look to maintain. She looks so out-there and ready to go out anytime anyday! Ever her slump days look great!hannah_0

Emily is the character who’s fashion definitely changed over the seasons. While the other girls didn’t change as much, Emily (from my perspective) acquired a more tough badass feel to her looks. I think her signature piece is her leather jacket, it really makes her look edgy. I don’t normally love her outfits as much, but I feel that now she’s gone through so many situations because of A, her look says, “I’m not afraid of you. Bring it.” Funny enough, off-screen from her jock character, Shay Mitchell is actually my favourite person in real life! I mean, HAVE YOU SEEN HER? she’s gorgeous! I only wish she could look like that when she’s playing Emily as well!emily-fields-tea-cup

Spencer has the most sophisticated wardrobe out of all the girls! She’s one of my top two favourites! I always think of an honour roll student/Tommy Hilfiger/American Eagle kinda look to her, which I personally love. This jacket below is one of my favourite pieces that she’s worn. I have a denim jacket similar to this, but the army green really makes it look tough and edgy, which is a nice contrast to her normal look. 0 (1)

  • Oxford shirt- Goodwill ($2.50 <–YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT! The original store it’s from is Gap)
  • Black shirt- Jacob ($10.00)
  • Jeans- Stitches ($20.00)

I probably sounded pretty bad with saying the whole “lets’ look smart” title, but I have a reason for that, fear not! I absolutely LOVE this Oxford shirt from Goodwill! Besides the fact that it’s actually from Gap and in PERFECT condition, it really gives an basic look a touch of sophistication! Oxfords not only give a clean look, but they resonate the whole studious student vibe; the preppy look isn’t a bad thing!

I’ve been favoring the preppy school style clothes because of how well-put they are and that they go perfectly with this crispy autumn weather!

What do you think?

Shay Mitchell, commonly known as “Emily Fields” on the hit show Pretty Little Liars is helping to kickoff and showoff her skinnies for American Eagle OutfittersLive Your Life” campaign for Fall 2012!

I personally adore Shay and her fashion. She has such a great personality and it really adds to her style~

American Eagle, not somewhere I shop at (price and style-wise) really went all out for their campaign! It draws in the eye with their quirky styles and their originality. I’m a sucker for great advertising and they get a 10/10 from me! Even if you don’t shop there, I highly recommend checking out their site at least!

This season, AEO is all about expressing your individual style and finding your own look,

which is why they’ve chosen an awesome and eclectic group to represent the new collection, complete with athletes, musicians, and even students.

Have a look at the other guys and girls denim styles! Trust me, the site makes it quite interesting and interactive, it’s worth seeing~

Under the section “Top off your fit”, every jean style has someone modelling it in several stylish AEO tops.

Vietnam truly is beautiful. I envy how stunning the women look! When I was at Carabram at the Vietnam pavilion, they gave us each a copy of their magazine, The Viet Sun (Volume VI- July 2012). I fell in love with their beauty, style, fashion & lifestyle~

Rings. Rings. Rings. This is my personal favored accessory. People who hang with me always know I will have rings bearing my very long fingers! Every girl should have some diamonds, and if they come in the form of really funky rings, then I’ll ALL for~

PS. No, I did NOT mean wedding rings!

I figured I would show you guys some of my rings, as an excuse to also use my soft box kit. Not all of them,  but my top set that I wear.

This is what I call my “evolution” set. I got the one on the right (Store-Aldo) from my little brother (he buys me LOTS of rings! And has great taste too.) I then got the bigger one on the left (Store- Ardene) from my trio a few months ago~

A few years ago my cousin was giving me a BUNCH of stuff she didn’t want (clothes, bags, accessories) and this was one of them! Not only is it colored a beautiful emerald green, but it also … SPINS! I”m not kidding, it really does! Pretty cool right? The spinning feature can distract me sometimes … or a lot …

This ring was also a gift from my trio that I really enjoy wearing, which is also from Ardene. I really took a liking to big rings because it can make such a statement without trying.

Both rings are from Aldo’s Accessories that I got a few years ago. I’ve worn these so many time’s that the colour is actually starting to fade. The shapes of these are what caught my eye. They both have an almost floral-like print on them, giving them a subtle touch of femininity~

This is this year’s ring from my little brother, HOORAY! He really knows how to pick them, especially when I like unique looking rings. This one blew me away, not just because it fit me really well, but because of how it looks like wings curling together~

This is just a close-up of one of the rings. I really like the style because it’s almost like a painting with it being long and rectangular.

This is what I feel is my “Victorian-styled” ring. It is very big, but really comfy. I bought it because I felt the black center piece could go with a lot of my outfits because it’s such a neutral colour. I really like the intricate designs too!

I don’t know why, but every time I look at this ring I think of a Ferris wheel for some odd reason … but yeah. This actually curves outwards at both ends, so it’s almost barely on my finger.

I’M OBSESSED WITH THIS RING! The Forever21 ring for only $1.50! Ch’yeah! Me and my friend Fazal call it “the samurai sword”! Slash! I love these long styled rings, it’s a lot of fun to wear, even though it sometime’s pokes me … in the face.

These are all 3 separate bands, but it’s really nice to wear them stacked up. My mom gave these to me, and these were my first “silver rings”, so I treasure them a LOT! I felt so cool wearing these when I was going out, it got me into occasionally buying rings afterwards~

Despite the fact that I suck at cleaning my jewelry, I love wearing them regardless. What’s your go-to must-have accessory? =)

Just thought I’d share some goals for this weekend’s posts because I’m so booked I won’t have much time to actually take some photos’ and sit here reading all your posts for hours. Yes, I wrote and planned out my posts two days early before I actually AM posting them JUST to make sure I meet the whole “minimum-one-post-a-day” routine! ^^”

Summer has been around for about a month for the university students who finished early (like myself), and it’s quite weird to have almost 4 whole months off! That’s a lot of time to occupy! I figured doing photoshoots, blogging (no, not Vlogging), and documentation would keep me in check when I’m not working.

Thankfully, I have friends, like artsy-hipsters, whom like myself come across concepts to attempt. I’m hoping to cover as many areas of shoot’s & types of photography that I can! So far here’s the list:

  • Long (double) exposure
  • Fashion
  • Editorials?
  • Magazine layouts (promotion)
  • Make up
  • Scenery
  • Forestry
  • Macro
  • Beach
  • Shadows (Black & White)
  • Vintage
  • Group shoot
  • Lookbook
  • Dancing (bboy, ballet, ect)

It’s a cruddy list, I know. But, I am trying. I’ve done a few, so I don’t see what’s stopping me from trying them all! If there’s anything you know of, or want to recommend, feel MORE than free to leave a comment below! (Any tips or feedback is also appreciated & welcomed with open arms)

Here’s some collages of what I have done so far that I”m beyond happy with! (iPhone behind the scenes!)

So apparently turning 19 today is a milestone for me. Go figure. They say these things when you’re born, when you turn 16, graduate highschool and whatnot. But I like to treat it like any other day. Not badly, but I just maybe go out and hang with some friends. Anyways– on to le outfit!

White is a really popular colour this spring/summer! Strips are also quite a growing trend as well! Combining the two was a lot of fun!

I actually tried out this outfit yesterday & I fell in LOVE. It has a nautical let-take-a-walk-along-the-boardwalk feel! I actually felt really photogenic, so I took a million shots & deleted a darn lot after!

  • Striped dress- Old Navy ($18)
  • White denim jacket- Old Navy ($25?)
  • Floppy hat- Gift from my mom

Have a wonderful Wednesday~

H A P P Y    M O T H E R ‘ S   D A Y ! ~

Sadly, I have to work a closing shift tonight, but I’m still getting to spend my morning & brunch with my mother. I hope you guys also have a wonderful day as well. I wanted to have a feminine look because my mom is very girly, so I figured I’d be a bit like her today.

Sorry today’s photo’s aren’t that creative or great! I’m in a bit of a rush & on the go! I wanted to post this because I really love how great and comfy this dress feels (the dress flows out really nice from the waist. The top of the dress is very snug and fit. Also, the material is light and soft, and not too thin either!). I’m not normally a dress girl, let alone for work, but I’m changing and loving these trends this year!~

Plus, helllllllllllllooooooo sunshine ;D

  • Sheer button up top- Old Navy ($30.00)
  • Dress- Old Navy ($10)

xoxo Dana

I took this yesterday because I realized I didn’t know what I was gunna wear. I’m actually wearing this tonight, but I’m so booked today I wanted to make sure I meet my goal of one post a day! Tonight is my girl Dj’s birthday dinner at Pickle Barrel, so she chose a formal dress code. I enjoy dressing up, but I’m still getting used to skirts.

  • Sleeveless grey cheetah top- Old Navy ($18)
  • Black skirt- Urban Behaviour ($5)

Happy Friday~
